Last week, at the IGARSS 2024, Geosystems Hellas (GSH) prominently presented the TRIQUETRA Project at their booth. Visitors to the GSH booth were greeted by a vibrant banner showcasing the TRIQUETRA Project and were given postcards detailing the project’s objectives and achievements. Anastasia Anastasiou and Efthymios Magkoufis co-authors of the TRIQUETRA poster and members of GSH team, actively engaged with interested attendees, providing comprehensive information about the project.
In addition to the booth presentation, Geosystems Hellas presented the TRIQUETRA poster on the topic: “THE TRIQUETRA KNOWLEDGE BASE PLATFORM”
This presentation offered valuable insights into the development of the TRIQUETRA Knowledge Base Platform (KBP), an integral component of the TRIQUETRA Decision Support System (DSS) Platform. The KBP comprises two key elements: a database containing the findings from a comprehensive literature review conducted as part of the project, and a WebGIS platform that hosts all relevant data pertaining to the project’s pilot Cultural Heritage (CH) sites.
Adding to the interactive experience, GSH, in collaboration with the Eratosthenes Research Center of Excellence, provided VR glasses that allowed guests to virtually explore the Choirokoitia pilot site of the TRIQUETRA project. This immersive experience was highly appreciated by attendees, offering a unique and engaging way to understand the project’s impact on cultural heritage sites.
The event was a significant milestone for the TRIQUETRA project, highlighting ongoing work and successful outcomes achieved through this innovative initiative. The positive reception and interest from the IGARSS attendees underscored the importance and relevance of the TRIQUETRA project in advancing cultural heritage preservation and knowledge dissemination.
