TRIQUETRA 5th Plenary Meeting: Advancing Cultural Heritage Protection in the Final Stages of the Project

Paphos, Cyprus – 8-9 May 2025

The TRIQUETRA project successfully held its 5th Plenary Meeting on the 8th and 9th of May 2025 at the historic Paphos Archaeological Site in Cyprus. As the project approaches its final stages, partners from across Europe gathered to present the significant progress achieved and to finalize the remaining details for the successful closure of the initiative.

During the first day, the agenda was packed with insightful presentations covering all active work packages. The consortium partners showcased the advancements made in project management, data collection, risk assessment models, and the development of innovative tools for cultural heritage protection. With the Decision Support System (DSS) nearing completion and pilot site validations well underway, the discussions focused on refining final deliverables and ensuring the long-term impact of TRIQUETRA’s results.

On the second day, partners visited Choirokoitia, one of the project’s key pilot sites. This UNESCO World Heritage Site provided an inspiring backdrop for on-site discussions about the practical application of the TRIQUETRA methodologies. The visit allowed the consortium to directly observe how the project’s tools and solutions contribute to the preservation of invaluable cultural heritage sites.

The plenary meeting concluded with strengthened collaboration among partners and a shared commitment to successfully complete this important initiative, which is funded by the EU under the Horizon Europe research and innovation programme.
